How lifescore Edge works

Every article answers one bounded question, identifies the evidence behind the answer and makes its limits visible.

01

Method

We begin with a question narrow enough to answer. We locate the strongest relevant original material, read the result in context and distinguish what the evidence shows from what it leaves unresolved.

Before publication, quantitative and causal claims are checked against the original material. The article must answer its question in full, state its material boundary and identify a primary source.

02

Sources

Original research papers, official records, reports, datasets, corrections and retractions carry the claims. Secondary coverage can help discover context; it does not replace the version of record when the original is available.

We label preprints as not peer reviewed and check for a later version of record. A published correction is incorporated when it changes a claim or boundary. A retracted source is not used as affirmative support; if an existing article relies on one, we review and correct the article.

Each article names its primary source in a dedicated section. Additional original sources remain linked where they materially support the answer.

03

Claims and boundaries

We preserve the difference between association and causation, a measured outcome and a broader promise, statistical significance and practical importance, and a study population and everyone else.

The lifescore take is editorial interpretation. It translates the evidence into a practical implication without turning that interpretation into a reported finding.

04

Independence

Edge does not currently carry advertising, sponsorships, affiliate links or paid placements. The people and organizations covered do not approve articles before publication.

lifescore Edge is the organizational author. lifescore is the publisher. We do not invent individual bylines or credentials.

05

Citations

Every article exposes its organizational author, publisher, published date, updated date and canonical URL in a visible citation panel.

The same record is available as RIS, BibTeX and CSL-JSON. Stable fragment links identify the primary-source section, evidence tables and evidence graphics. The Atom feed carries canonical article URLs.

06

Corrections

If you find a possible error, email hello@lifesco.re. Include the article URL, the statement at issue and, when possible, the relevant original source.

We check the report against the version of record. When a material error is confirmed, we correct the article and display an updated date. If the correction changes the answer or a key evidence boundary, we explain that change in the article.
